Renewable Power

Lane Power & Energy Solutions (LPES) specializes in cavern projects supporting renewable power generation, including Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES), and hydrogen caverns which are key to global Green House Gas (GHG) reduction initiatives.

Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES)

When power demand is at a peak, another clean power generation solution is needed. One such solution is Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), where compressed air is stored in salt domes or hard rock caverns and then used in specialized turbo machinery to develop power.

Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES)

A-CAES is the latest evolution in compressed air energy storage where hydrostatic compensation is used to maintain constant pressure during operation, creating a more efficient and environmentally sound renewable power generation solution.

Hydrogen Caverns

Hydrogen is one of the key fuel sources that will help to reduce green house gas emissions from the transportation and power generation sectors.  The team at LPES is currently working with several power developers and global turbine manufacturers on developing hydrogen cavern storage projects to support CO2 reduction.
